Pumpkin Kitties!

I am one proud mama. I can't help capturing cute moments of my boys, especially on Halloween! They were so adorable and cute, I couldn't stop snuggling up to them!

I actually was rocking this headband all day yesterday and today and couldn't help but to put it on Bennie, too. He wasn't too fond of it, so I was surprised to capture the moment! He sure looks stellar!

Bogart is pretty tiny, so this pumpkin wouldn't fit on his head. Heck, the pumpkin is even bigger than his head! So he was snuggling up to it instead! I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday. I will be finishing my night cuddling with my boys and watching some scary movies.

ps. I have updated some new info on my blog (including my layout). Here is Sponsorship info, as well as Contact info, incase any of you were curious! :)

As my dad would say....

Happy Hallowscream!!!!

I hope everyone enjoys this amazingly scary day! I know I will. I will be spending my day in zombie style with a few of my favorite people. We will be eating Halloween treats, watching fun Halloween movies and dressing up! Time for me to get ready!

All Hallow's Eve...

Today was a fun, but wet, day! A big group of us took our fellow kids trick-or-treating. My brother and I took his son Miles. I dressed up as a Zombie, and Miles was a Ninja!

Every year, he and I like to dress up and go trick-or-treating together. This year I wanted to go all out!

I was very fortunate to have all my make-up supplies on hand. I used a very pale concealer with a white powder, brown, black and purple eye shadow, and to finish up, red lipstick.

My brother's twist on a Halloween costume!

Leaves are almost all gone :(

Mmmm....brains!

Silly Pylie!

So pretty!

These are my favorite trees!

Miles and his cousin Shaelynn!

Have a great all Hallow's Eve everyone!!

100th Post!!

Ahh I can't believe I'm up to my 100th post already! Hope to have many many more! So as some of you may know, we had gotten a kitten recently named Bernard. A few days into getting him, he got really sick. We took him to the vet and he never progressed to getting better. We took him back in and they still couldn't figure out what was wrong with the poor guy :( So we had taken him back to where we got him.

We reallllllly did not want to do that, but there was no other choice. He was on the verge of death and all we could think of was to take him back to his 'home'. When we did so, he sprung back to life. I'm not sure of his condition as of right now, but I pray that he got better. I feel so bad and I miss him so much.

We were fortunate enough to find this little guy...Bogart!

He is a Siamese, just like our other two. We wanted to keep our guys in the family. We're hoping his coloring turns out mostly towards a Seal or Chocolate Point. We have a Blue and Plain Point. I love this little man, but I still think about Bernard constantly. We called them in and I hope the Sheriff takes a look at them and closes them down. We've had TONS of cats throughout the years, and never once got a kitten so sick and sad like Bernard. It's such a shame.

Bogart is no replacement. Each one of our pets will always hold a special place in my heart. But right now was the perfect time to add a new edition to our family. Sometimes life doesn't always work out the way we plan it to, but in the end, there is always a rainbow...

Creative place

Now, I'm not fortunate enough to have my own craft room or work space, but I am fortunate enough to have this gem...

My mom picked up this beauty at a thrift store. I knew when she was done using it, I had to have it for my shop.

This baby allows me to hold everything I need for my shop. The top drawer I use for my shipping envelopes. The body of the cabinet has three shelves. The small top shelf I use for my mixing utensils. The largest shelf is where I hold all my supplies...flavor oils, butters, olive oil, grapeseed oil, etc. Then the bottom shelf (not shown) is for my tubes and other packaging items.

Flavor oils and misc. butters.

Pipettes.

Beeswax.

Metal salve tins.

I store this great cart in my room and then wheel it into the kitchen when I'm going to create something new. I love it and how easy and accessible it is! :)

52 Weeks - Week 6

This photo was taken last Saturday. I took this photo on the way back home from picking up my nephew from his football game. This was also the day we found out my cousin, Nick passed away. I really love this photograph. I took it while we were driving and I'm impressed at how well it turned out.

Last night, I had shaved my grandma's head. She has cancer. She found out she had cancer about a month after my father found out he had cancer. My grandma is holding up quite well under the circumstances. She recently had to go back for chemo, and seeing that this is a stronger dosage, her hair is now falling out. She got this super cute wig. I love how it looks on her. I think she looks great!

Just a heads up, I'll be taking a break from Bookworm Thursday. Life has been crazy at the moment. I'll let you all know when it will return.

Wenailsday

Wooo, it's been quite a while since I posted. Sorry for the small hiatus. Funerals will do that to you I suppose. Now I promised you all that I would do a nail post on my favorite polishes and colors. Here they are!

Here's a few of my favorite polishes and colors. Sally Hanson is the greatest. Every line they have lasts for quite a while. I love that! Beyond color, the longer the polish stays on w/o chipping, the better. Revlon is a close second when it comes to lasting.

I can be pretty cheap when it comes to shopping for nail polishes. I'm not one to not buy a color if it's a 'cheaper' brand. You can always improvise and use that color for other things...such as polka dots, lines and nail designs. You don't always have to use a polish just for a solid color!

I have stated before that Nicole products aren't my favorite. But I do adore so many of their colors. This glittery sparkle is one of my favorites. When I first purchased it, I wanted my nails to be as sparkly as the bottle. I did three coats to achieve that and it chipped not even ten minutes after it dried. Recently, I had a similar purple shade and applied one coat of this glitter, and it lasted for days. So don't be discouraged on a polish if it chips. There's always ways you can utilize that color or brand.

I just found this glow in the dark polish at Walgreens. It was 1.99! I can't wait to try it. I have a great nail tutorial in the works for this baby! My favorite shades are pinks, purples and blues for my nails. Another great brand (if you have this store in your city or town) is the Ulta brand. Those colors lasts for DAYS. I couldn't be more impressed with them!

What are your favorite polish brands or colors?

ps. Do you like the new blog layout? I was getting bored with the old one! :)

52 weeks - Week 5 and 10 Facts Tuesday!

Hey guys! I'm really sorry about not posting yesterday, or really this weekend for that matter. Everything has just been a mess at home since my cousin passed. So please be patient because some of my posts may be delayed. I'm trying my oh so hardest not to delay them though, so with further ado, 52 weeks!

My dear Bennie, and Lady photobombing in the back, hehe. I for some reason can't stop photographing this cat!! He's by baby. Cute and cuddly and oh so sweet. He consoles me when I'm down (how weird for a cat, well, maybe not). Last night I was sad and he just snuggled up in my arms and kept my heart warm. What I wouldn't do without this guy in my life. Oh, why aren't you human???

\\ 10 Facts About Yours Truly //

I can wiggle my eyeballs. It grosses out sooo many people when I do it, I think it's hilarious.

When me and my brother were little, we would take his Hot Wheel cars and put them in the road for cars to run them over. We'd sit on the couch looking out the window to watch if anyone would do it. And when they did, we'd run out and grab the cars. We'd line them up in the back yard. Oh dangerous kids we were.

My favorite Spice Girl (oh how I miss them so) was Sporty Spice. I loved everything about her. My friends and I would all pick our favorite gals and then dress up as them and put on Spice Girl concerts for the neighborhood. It was soooo much fun! I miss those days a lot.

I love writing. I wish I could write a fiction novel one day, something completely unreal and quirky. I always doubt myself and scrap all my ideas before I get them written down. One day I will fulfill my dreams of being a writer.

I really hate when I get interrupted. It's a HUGE pet peeve of mine. If I lose concentration on something, I get pretty angry. I don't take it out on anyone, but I sit and brood, haha. Got to love being a girl with temper tantrums!

As I've stated in my About Me, I am a HUGE Pink Floyd fan. I have to thank my dad for introducing them to me and finding my true love in classic rock. I hear the same Pink Floyd songs on the radio every.single.day. and you'd think I'd get sick of them, right? Nope, I just love them more. They bring me to peace and make me feel like I'm sitting right next to my dad jamming out. Oh, I miss that! :)

I just learned how to use iMovie the other day, and I'm in LOVE. I had no idea what I was doing (last time I used it was in middle school, like I'm going to remember that far back). I sat there knowing what I wanted to do, and it worked exactly how I wanted it to. How does that work? This is why I love Apple products so much, you don't need a how to manual, you just need common sense :)

I can't walk in high heels to save my life. I love the look of them, especially Mary Jane's, but I'm so uncoordinated that I look like I'm going to fall off a cliff when I wear them. I get too self conscious in them too because then I'm usually over 6 feet tall after I have them on so I feel like a giant. But I can sit and adore them anyway. They're just so pretty, I wish I could wear them. Perhaps one day, right!?

I can learn things extremely fast. I wish I was like this in High School. Back then, I just didn't care. I'd get through the day just because I had to. Now, I just love absorbing everything around me. I get fascinated so easily, I kind of remind myself of me when I was 5.

I always wear a sweater or long sleeves. No matter what the temperature is, I have to have something on my arms. I'm really self conscious of them and feel that they need to be covered at all times. Not to mention, I'm ALWAYS cold. So it's a win win!

Again, sorry for the delayed posts. Tomorrow I will be showing you all my favorite polishes from my collection. I can't wait :)

xo.

ps. Give your family members and close friends a hug and let them know how much you love them. You never know when someone's days may be their last. I know I'll be doing that today and everyday after . <3
